Do's
- ✓ Use only multi-purpose contact lens solution
- ✓ Replace storage solution daily
- ✓ Replace lens case every 3 months
- ✓ Take lenses out before sleeping
- ✓ Use rewetting drops if eyes feel dry
- ✓ Keep lenses sealed in solution when not worn
Don'ts
- ✗ Never rinse lenses with water (tap or bottled)
- ✗ Never use saliva to clean lenses
- ✗ Never sleep with lenses in
- ✗ Never swim or shower in lenses
- ✗ Never share lenses with anyone
- ✗ Never wear past 9–12 months from first opening
- ✗ Never wear if your eyes are red, irritated or infected
How to handle dryness
If your eyes feel dry while wearing lenses, use rewetting drops specifically labelled for contact lens use (not regular eye drops). Avoid wearing lenses in heavily air-conditioned rooms, near campfires, or in dusty environments for extended periods.
Signs you should remove lenses immediately
- Sharp pain or burning sensation
- Excessive redness or watering
- Blurred or hazy vision that doesn't clear
- Light sensitivity
If symptoms persist after removing lenses, consult an eye doctor.
When to replace
Manriqen lenses are designed for 9–12 months of wear from first opening, with proper care. After that, replace them — the protein build-up makes them less safe and less comfortable, regardless of how they look.
